Light a Candle and Help Eradicate Child Pornography
As awareness campaigns go this one is brilliant!Hats off to the folks that took the time and effort to put this together:There is so much ugliness in this world that is caused by the choices that individual humans take in their daily affairs – but probably nothing is worse than willfully subjecting our young to such depravities, taking away from them what is their birthright: a carefree upbringing full of wonderful choices. As we light this virtual candle in cyberspace, let us also light a candle in our hearts, minds and souls and awaken our slumbering lethargic apathetic conscience.Let us take a moment to reflect upon all the things we can, and should do to make this world a better place for generations to come.Evil triumphs when good people stand by and do nothing – apathy is an unacceptable choice.Awaken, engage and arise my brothers and sisters – and let us change this world for we have the power.
A year after Rollyo deployed/introduced the concept of custom Searchrolls, google does a me-too with the mouthful Google Custom Search Engine - a searchroll of sorts that folks can customise for their needs.
Difference of course is that Rollyo is powered by yahoo's search engine and the functionality is geared towards creating custom topic searches that includes your favourite site. Google's version is a much broader and more functional deployment where you can integrate its search tool into your own site and provide a more granular level of control.
Both of course don't compete head-on so I expect different people will use it according to their particular needs. As always we can probably expect more innovation from the users - would love to see where this goes. One more mashup tool to add more value to your offering.

Shameless Plug follows... Simply a fantastic event. Went there last year. If you are passionate about computers and technology this is an event that should be right there in BOLD on your calendar! See ya there.
Came across this intriguing device being researched at NYU. A device that could accept and respond to interaction with multiple fingers/users. Opens up a whole new way of designing UIs.
Err on the Side of Bold... "Always err on the side of bold. Take the risk, take swings, get in the arena and enjoy it. I blew up a factory and pleaded my case and survived. Have fun. Why be a cautious grunt? Go for it."
